Mrs. Pierce took a group of sophomores up to the U of I today to learn more about Gies College of Business and ACES (College of Agricultural, Consumer, and Environmental Sciences). The students took tours and spoke with current students about the programs of study and student organizations that the colleges offer. Then the students walked across the quad to see the Alma Mater.

Mr. Allen took his 8th grade students to the Hume polling place to learn about the voting process and how important voting is for citizens! They are currently learning about the Illinois Constitution and local elections, so they were able to participate in the ballot process, see how ballots are collected, and understand the importance of privacy and civic engagement. A HUGE thank you to the Hume election judges for welcoming us into the polls and inspiring learning!
