Good Afternoon, In an effort to keep our community informed, we are sharing information that we currently have 4 positive COVID cases in the elementary side of our building. We do not want to unnecessarily alarm anyone, but we also want to be transparent. We are doubling our efforts to sanitize the building as the safety of our students and staff is our first priority. If your student is experiencing COVID symptoms, our school nurse has access to free COVID tests that are available to be sent home. Please contact her with your request or questions at boschk@shiloh1.org or call at (217)531-1850 ext. 1019. Please do not send your student to school if you are concerned for their health or they test positive for COVID. Thank you for your efforts in keeping our school safe. Best Regard, Bill Myers

Mrs. Donnals’s 5th grade class incorporated SEL into the new year by reflecting on 2022 and setting goals for 2023! They also did a New Year's mystery pixel activity by answering questions and plugging the answers into a mystery puzzle. It was a great start to the new year!

Last month PIP-Squeaks and their families gathered for their December group connection. They enjoyed Iza Trapani’s beautifully illustrated book, “Jingle Bells,” learning about the holiday traditions of children in other cultures. Then it was time to ring their own bells while singing the song. The most requested activity of the year-making cinnamon ornaments-was a big hit. The children used all their senses to explore the fragrant dough and cut out ornaments to take home to hang on their tree or to give as a treasured gift. Before leaving, each child chose a holiday book and a tasty tree treat.
