Our world has certainly changed over the past few weeks. Since the yearbook is a record of a school year, we would be remiss if our current situation was not included in that record. Please take a moment to share your and your children’s thoughts to be part of this year’s publication (no political comments please).

Seniors: We have one more scholarship available on the website. The Douglas County Republican Committee Scholarship for students living in Douglas County. The Newman Independent is offering our 8th graders and seniors a free graduation announcement with picture in the paper.

Graduation is a closed event and is only for the graduates and their 4 guests. Masks are required. Due to restrictions the public is not invited (including our Shiloh staff and students).

REMINDER: Josten's will be at Shiloh tomorrow, Wednesday, May 6th, from 10 am to 11 am to distribute Senior and 8th grade caps and gowns,etc. We will also hand out personal belongings to Seniors and 8th graders only during this time. Please pull into the circle drive. No one will be allowed in the building.
REMINDER: Tomorrow is student meal pick up day. As usual, pick up is from noon to 1 pm at the designated pick up sites.

Shiloh's 2020 prom has been postponed, and we hope to reschedule it when the social distancing mandate has been lifted.
In the meantime, radio station 104.3 has invited area students to participate in their virtual prom.

This is a way to share pictures in your prom attire on Facebook and/or Instagram. 104.3 is inviting you to submit photos of yourself and family along with songs you would like to hear while dancing in your house. It's not the same as the traditional prom, but we are making the best of the current situation.

As we anticipated, Governor Pritzker announced the cessation of in-person learning for the remainder of this year. We still intend to postpone prom and graduation ceremonies until later in the summer. At Monday's board meeting we will propose a plan for an nontraditional graduation ceremony.
There will be an organized plan for parents to pick up students' personal belongings as well as to return Chromebooks and textbooks to school.
We will continue with remote/e-learning plans for the remainder of this year. The last packet will go out May 11. We do not have guidance as of today to how we calculate final grades for transcripts. We will keep you posted.
